1.3 Requesting Figures in the QRP Reporting Tool
The QRP Reporting Tool will summarize aggregated data returned by one or more runs of the QRP in tables and figures. The specific type of summary figure produced will depend on the type of study and analysis performed by the QRP as well as various user-specified input parameters.
If users do not wish to output any summary figures in the report, they can choose to exclude Figure File from the File Structure, which will result in only summary tables being output.
In the case that figures are desired, users should consult the “Lookup Tables” in the QRP Reporting Tool technical documentation to determine which parameters should be specified. Each type of study-analysis combination has its own Lookup Table.
Additionally, users can leverage the template SAS datasets located within the “TemplateFiles” folder of the QRP Reporting Tool file structure to begin specifying user parameters.

1.3.1 User Options
Generally, users must specify which figures they would like to output using Figure File. A full list of figures currently produced by the QRP Reporting Tool for each study/analysis type is found above. Customizable figure aspects include axes, censoring reasons, groups displayed, stratifications, and whether to output a summary dataset corresponding to the figure.
For figures that have this option, users can customize x- and y-axes using three parameters that specify the 1) minimum value, 2) maximum value, and 3) interval between tick marks. The QRP Reporting Tool will use this information to determine the number of tick marks output on each axis. In the case when users would like to output a custom axis (such as limiting to only the first 365 days in a x-axis, for example), it is not necessary to specify all three of these parameters in Figure File.
If the user does not specify an interval between tick marks for the x-axis in figures where “days” are on the x-axis, ticks are placed at a multiple of 30 (i.e., every 60 days or every 90 days, etc., depending on the number of days on the axis) for all studies where the maximum number of days exceeds 120. If the user does not specify an interval between tick marks for the x-axis and the length of the x-axis is between 10 and 120 days, then tick marks will be placed at a multiple of 5. The goal of the tick mark algorithm is to print six tick marks on the axis for all customizable axes. Certain figures described in the forthcoming section have non-customizable axes whose tick marks are pre-specified by the QRP Reporting Tool (for instance, x-axes in figures displaying monthly and cumulative patient entry into medical product utilization studies).
