## How to Use this Repository
5
+
Sentinel's analyses use pre-defined, parameterized, reusable routine querying tools, combined with the electronic data in the [Sentinel Common Data Model](https://www.sentinelinitiative.org/sentinel/data/distributed-database-common-data-model) (SCDM). There are several types of analyses, including summary tables, Level 1 analyses, and Level 2 analyses.
6
+
7
+
This repository contains

Parameterized Level 2 analytic packages , which can be used to run a query on local SCDM-formatted data
Cohort Identification and Descriptive Analysis (CIDA) tool , which can be used to identify and extract cohorts of interest from SCDM-formatted data

Results of these Level 2 analyses will be posted to the [Sentinel website](https://www.sentinelinitiative.org) as they become available.

### CIDA Tool
32
+
33
+
The CIDA tool calculates descriptive statistics for specified cohort(s) of interest and outputs datasets that may be useful for additional analyses (e.g., to calculate unadjusted and adjusted effect estimates and 95% confidence intervals).
34
+
35
+
To build a query:

Connect to your SCDM
Fill out parameterized package
Navigate to the SAS folder
Open the master program
...

36
+
37
+
#### For details on using the CIDA Tool, visit the [Sentinel Routine Querying Tool Documentation](https://dev.sentinelsystem.org/projects/SENTINEL/repos/sentinel-routine-querying-tool-documentation/browse) repository .
