4.3 Type 4 Level 1 Table File Lookup Table Parameters
The Type 4 Level 1 Table File lookup table is required to be specified to produce the Type 4 Level 1 summary tables described on this page. All lookup tables can be found in the Reporting Tool templatefiles folder. The user will download the Reporting Tool, select the Type 4 Level 1 Table File lookup table, and edit the relevant parameters directly in the lookup table.
The Table File is used to specify which tables and corresponding stratifications to produce in the report. The lookup table below is used to map the requested output with the strata level variables necessary to compute the appropriate metrics. Requested strata level variables must be requested in the distributed User-defined Strata Levels Look-up file. Note that only one Table File that includes all requested output should be specified.
Six tables can be requested, as indicated by the TABLE parameter in the Table File:
4.3.1 Tables
- T1: t4preg = Pregnancy Episodes [and Matched Non-Pregnant Episodes] with [Exposure(s) of Interest]
- T2: t4preg = [Exposure(s) of Interest] Episodes Among Pregnant [and Matched Non-Pregnant] Cohort[s]
- T3: t4preg = [Exposure(s) of Interest] Codes Among Pregnant [and Matched Non-Pregnant] Cohort[s], Without Adjusting for Same-Day Dispensings
- T4: t4preg = [Exposure(s) of Interest] Codes Among Pregnant [and Matched Non-Pregnant] Cohort[s], Adjusting for Same-Day Dispensings
- T5: t4preggestwk = Pregnancy Episodes [and Matched Non-Pregnant Episodes] with [Exposure(s) of Interest], by Gestational Week
- T6: t4preggestwk = [Exposure(s) of Interest] Episodes Among Pregnant [and Matched Non-Pregnant] Cohort[s], by Gestational Week
LEVELNUM specifies the number of level ID variables required in order to produce the table. For example, if LEVELNUM = 2, then the output defined in LEVELID1 and LEVELID2 is required to be included in the distributed results, but the output defined in LEVELID3 is optional and not necessary to output the table. The INCLUDEINREPORT parameter is the only user-defined variable. Users must enter “Y” or “N” to indicate whether to output the corresponding table and strata in the report. Note that TABLESUBSTRAT = “t4nopreg” or “t4nopreggestwk” allows the user to include a section in the tables for a matched non-pregnant cohort if it was requested in the distributed User-defined Strata Levels Look-up file.
The order of the stratifications in the Table File can be adjusted by the user, and defines the order that the stratified tables will appear in the report. To request output stratified by user-defined categories for categorical variables not previously defined in the Query Request Package (QRP), users can specify the CATEGORIES parameter with the stratification categories of interest (e.g., “1-15 16-30 31-60 61+”) for the corresponding table. Note that in order to produce tables that include stratified output for categorical variables that are previously defined in the QRP, the parameter corresponding to the stratification variable must be specified with user-defined categories in the QRP (rather than using the CATEGORIES parameter).
