4.1 Type 1 Table File Lookup Table Parameters
The Type 1 Table File lookup table is required to be specified to produce the Type 1 summary tables described on this page. All lookup tables can be found in the Reporting Tool templatefiles folder. The user will download the Reporting Tool, select the Type 1 Table File, and edit the relevant parameters directly in the lookup table.
The Table File is used to specify which tables and corresponding stratifications to produce in the report. The lookup table below is used to map the requested output with the strata level variables necessary to compute the appropriate metrics. Requested strata level variables must be requested in the distributed User-defined Strata Levels Look-up file. Note that only one Table File that includes all requested output should be specified. Table 4.3 contains detailed specifications for the Table File.
Four tables can be requested, as indicated by the TABLE parameter in the Table File:
- T1: t1cida = Summary of Background Rates
- T1: t1censor = Summary of Time to End of Observable Data
- T2: t1censor = Summary of Reasons for End of Observable Data
- T3: t1censor = Summary of Time to End of Observable Data due to Censor Reason
LEVELNUM specifies the number of level ID variables required in order to produce the table. For example, if LEVELNUM = 1, then the output defined in LEVELID1 is required to be included in the distributed results, but the output defined in LEVELID2 and LEVELID3 is optional and not necessary to output the table. There are two user-specified parameters. To indicate whether to output the corresponding table and strata in the report, user must enter “Y” or “N” for the INCLUDEINREPORT parameter. To select reasons for censoring to output in t1censor table(s), user can specify the CENSORREASON parameter with the censoring reasons of interest—e.g., cens_elig cens_dth cens_dpend cens_qryend. To request output stratified by user-defined categories for categorical variables not previously defined in the Query Request Package (QRP), user can specify the CATEGORIES parameter with the stratification categories of interest—e.g., 1-15 16-30 31-60 61+—for the corresponding table. If output for individual baseline characteristics is to be included in the report, rows in the table below with “covar#”” need to be replaced with rows for each baseline characteristic (covar1, covar2, etc). User can define the order of stratified tables in the report using the Table File. User can also edit TABLESUB parameter in the Table File to specify the order of stratifications in the report.
Note that in order to produce tables that include stratified output for categorical variables that are previously defined in the QRP, the parameter corresponding to the stratification variable must be specified with user-defined categories in the QRP (rather than using the CATEGORIES parameter). For example, in order to produce the t1censor table, the CENSOR_OUTPUT_CAT parameter in the qrp.Type1File must be specified.
