8 Output Datasets

Output datasets are designed to evaluate one or more data checks—i.e., pre-defined data quality measures or characterizations. Each data check is designated a “Level 1,” “Level 2,” or “Level 3” data quality check depending on the complexity and assigned a “FlagID” for tracking and reporting purposes. Please see the section on Quality Checks for more details.

Please note that the tables for each output file are complete and quite lengthy. A sortable version of the QA Package Data Dictionary file can also be downloaded as an Excel workbook from the QA Package git repository.

8.1 MSOC Folder

Table 8.1 describes the QA Program Package output datasets found in the msoc directory. These datasets are returned to SOC. Subsections 8.1.132 and 8.1.133 describe the Mother-Infant Identification and SCDM Snapshot MSOC output, respectively.

module_signature ALL This metadata file contains module-level metadata and basic benchmarking statistics after each module has completed. Module will be replaced with the appropriate module name—e.g., l1_signature, enr_signature.

control_flow_3 CON This metadata file is a modified version of the “control_flow” input file, limited to DP-specific SCDM tables to evaluate.

r01_deliveries The Live Birth Deliveries dataset contains one record per MPatID and ADate. This file is created following identification of mothers (via evidence of live delivery by individuals aged 10–54 inclusive and an assigned value of Female in the Sentinel Common Data Model demographic table variable Sex. This file will stay at the Data Partner and will be used to subsequently create a Sentinel Mother-Infant Linkage Table.
r02_infants This dataset contains one record per CPatID. This file is created following identification of children with a date of birth during the specified time period in the Sentinel Distributed Database (SDD). This file will stay at the Data Partner and will be used to subsequently create a Sentinel Mother-Infant Linkage Table.
delivery_codes This file contains all delivery clinical codes identified in the Encounter in which a delivery occurred. Non-delivery clinical codes that occurred in the Encounter will not be included in this table.
