1.17 SAS Datasets Output

Individual runs of the QRP at different data sites result in many datasets output as part of the QRP. To facilitate review of aggregated data, the QRP Reporting Tool outputs three types of datasets in its folder file structure.

1.17.1 Log Checker

The log checker output table reports any errors, warnings, and note messages produced in the QRP_Report SAS log. This table will be automatically output when the QRP_Report SAS program is run. This dataset is located in the “Output” folder of the QRP Reporting Tool file structure.

1.17.2 Aggregated Raw Data

The QRP Reporting Tool consolidates each QRP output dataset into an aggregate dataset where rows are identified by the masked data partner ID. These aggregated datasets are located in a folder called “msocdata” within the “Output” folder of the QRP Reporting Tool file structure. One aggregated dataset is produced for each dataset from the QRP that is used to create the report, named the same as the QRP dataset with “agg_” added as a prefix. As such, when there are multiple runs of the QRP, only one aggregate dataset is output by the QRP reporting tool, and rows are identified by the corresponding run ID.

Output datasets only contain rows for groups that were requested in the Reporting Tool's input files. In the case where a particular group is not present in a given data site’s QRP output, the QRP reporting tool will include a note in the log indicating that there are no rows in the dataset where the QRP group is the groups specified in the Groups File.

In the case that a particular dataset does not exist in the QRP output for a particular data site, the QRP reporting tool will still output the aggregated dataset excluding that data site, and will note the phenomenon in the log as: “NOTE: (Sentinel) [runid]_[table] does not exist for [DP]” where [runid] is the run number, [table] is the name of the table, and [DP] is the data partner ID.

1.17.3 Table and Figure Underlying Data

In addition to reviewing the raw aggregated data, users can also review the underlying data in report tables and figures in datasets by navigating to the “reportdata” folder within the “Output” folder of the QRP Reporting Tool file structure. One dataset is produced for each table and figure in the final report. These datasets use numeric formats for all numbers, allowing computation if desired (unlike in the final report where numbers are formatted as character variables).

1.17.4 Sentinel Views Data

For Type 1, select Type 2 Level 1, and Type 2 Level 2 reports, users can also request additional datasets, saved to a subfolder named after the query’s request ID, that are used within the Sentinel Views platform for better data visualization (e.g., histograms, KM curves, covariate balance love plots, etc.).
